This is a very good salsa recipe. Simple ingredients are boiled and blended to created a flavorful, spicy mixture that's great with tortilla chips and on Mexican-style foods. The amounts of onions and jalapenos may be varied; canned crushed tomatoes may be substituted for fresh.

We like spicy and sweet and this hummus is both. And easy too. Everything is popped into the food processor and pulsed into deliciousness. Cumin and cayenne add a bit of kick and pair nicely with the sweet, sweet roasted peppers. Makes lots.

I make this hummus all the time. It only takes a few minutes to prepare, and it's healthier without the oil. Increase or decrease the ingredients as desired, especially the jalapenos! Serve with pita chips or fresh veggie slices. Add more of the reserved bean liquid for a smoother dip.
